Every month in 2019, Lärmschutz invites a fellow like-minded artist for a split release on Faux Amis records.

This february, Dirk Serries plays a dense noise guitar track, that makes multiple listening quite rewarding: it is impossible to re-listen and nót hear something new each time. Allthough quite maximalist on the surface, this track beautifully demonstrates how Serries' minimal style can have more than one layer: many things happen at once, but the human mind becomes it's own conductor this way, in pointing out a particular sound, scratch or gesture that suddenly seems to take a lead role.

For side B, Lärmschutz takes a more disciplined approach than their usual self. Here too, many things happen at once, but they attempt to give every small sound and twist the small stage it needs to be heard. Every moment potentially could lead into a heavy fit of sonic mayhem, but is restrained just in time.
