about

Improvisation has always been a very important part of music. For this release Lärmschutz dive into the music of the Barok-era (1600-1750). Componists during this period often made use of basso continuo. A way of composing music with a recognisable melody and a fixed bassline but in the accompaniment music there’s room for free interpretation. Lärmschutz took four of those old basslines, invited some friends and made their own interpretations of the guidelines the composers wrote on the scores. The result is a tape where old clashes with modern in terms of instruments, sounds and ideas.

Tracks:

1. Crucifixus
2. Tafelmusik
3. Alles was ihr tut
4. Triosonata
